Breathing Square

Draw an enormous imaginary square in your mind.  Make your square as big as you can! Inhale up one side of your square. Exhale across the top, inhale down the other side, and exhale across the bottom.  Repeat 3 times.

You’ve just deactivated the stress center of your brain—your “fight flight freeze” center.  And… activated your “rest and digest” center. Well done!  Can you feel the difference?

The breathing square can be used anywhere… anytime you’re feeling stressed.
